Star Spangled Banner written by Francis Scott Key
after the British attack on Fort McHenry in 1814.
Boyne City’s Event will be held at Veterans Memorial Park
"by dawn’s early light"
starting at 7:00 A.M.
Please come early to sign in for this historical event.
Rain location: BCHS Gymnasium
Everyone is invited to join in this community wide event,
where every voice and every instrument is welcome.
Join with BCHS Band, area church choirs, and members of the general public
for a heartwarming ceremony of patriotic songs, bell ringing,
and to raise our voices together in our National Anthem.
(Patriotic clothing encouraged)
For More information: Contact Gene Barfield 497-4252,
visit the Boyne Area Chamber,
or look us up on FaceBook.
For Instrumental Musicians and Choirs:
So that we’re all on the "same sheet of music", BCHS Band Director Brandon Ivie will have
a link posted on the BCHS Webpage to the arrangement the band will be playing.
There will also be at least one open rehearsal with the band the week before the event.
Please contact the Boyne Area Chamber to let us know you’re planning on attending
so we can get you the information on the additional rehearsal.
For musical groups and soloists:
We are looking for 8-10 performers to expand the program beyond the mass public singing of the National Anthem.
If you would like to perform a patriotic song or your own version of the Star Spangled Banner
as part of the expanded program, please contact the Boyne Area Chamber
to sign up on a first come first serve basis.
